Interior painting in West Kelowna often means more height than people expect. A lot of homes on the Westside were built into the slope, so you get two-storey entries, open stairwells that drop to a walk-out basement, and vaulted great rooms facing the lake. Those are the walls homeowners put off because a ladder from the hardware store will not reach them safely. We bring the staging and extension gear to paint high walls and ceilings cleanly, then carry the same care into bedrooms, kitchens, trim and doors.
Prep is where Westside interiors differ. Houses on sloped lots settle, and that shows up as diagonal cracks above doors and windows and popped screws along ceilings. We open and re-tape those cracks before painting rather than filling them with caulk that splits again. Many homes still carry the original builder beige, so a free colour consultation is part of every estimate.
Walk-out designs on the hillsides put stairwells and foyer walls well above standard ladder reach. We plan staging and drop-cloth layout for those areas first, so the tall work is finished cleanly before we move to the easier rooms on each floor.
Homes on sloped lots tend to show hairline cracks at door and window corners and along ceiling seams. We treat these as drywall repairs, taping and mudding them properly, because paint alone will not hold over a joint that is still moving.
Big lake-facing windows and strong afternoon sun change how colours read through the day. We bring samples to your actual rooms and check them in that light, which matters most for whites and greys that can turn yellow or blue by evening.
We paint interiors across the Westside, including Westbank, Shannon Lake, Rose Valley, Lakeview Heights, Glenrosa, West Kelowna Estates and Smith Creek. Lakeview Heights and West Kelowna Estates have many larger view homes with vaulted rooms, while Shannon Lake, Smith Creek and Rose Valley have newer family houses where builder-grade finishes are ready for a refresh. Older Westbank and Glenrosa homes often need more patching before paint.
Most single rooms run $300–$800 and take about a day, and a full interior usually takes 3–5 days at $2,500–$6,000+. In West Kelowna the biggest price factors are ceiling and stairwell height, how many settling cracks need proper repair, and whether the basement level is included. The 15–20 minute drive across the bridge does not add a separate charge to our estimates. Interior work can be booked year-round, so winter is a good time to get on the schedule.

Yes. Tall stairwells are one of the most common requests we get on the Westside. We set up stable access over the stairs, protect treads and railings, and paint walls and ceilings in one pass so you do not see lap marks from working in sections.
It is, if the cracks are repaired first. Settling on sloped lots often reopens joints that were only caulked or filled. We cut out loose tape, re-tape and mud the seam, then prime and paint so the repair holds much better than a surface fill.
