Interior painting in Vernon is the work that keeps going when the North Okanagan turns cold. Once exterior season ends, our crew moves indoors to repaint living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, ceilings and trim. Older East Hill homes often need plaster cracks and old enamel trim dealt with before any colour goes on, while newer homes in Okanagan Landing and Predator Ridge usually need a clean colour change over flat builder-grade paint that marks easily.
We drive up from Kelowna, about 45–50 minutes, and travel is included in most quotes here. A single room typically takes about a day and runs $300–$800. A full interior usually takes three to five days and falls in the $2,500–$6,000+ range. You get a free written estimate after we walk through the rooms with you, plus a free colour consultation if you want help choosing.
North Okanagan winters are long and cold, so exterior painting pauses for months. That makes the colder months a practical window for interior work, often with more flexible dates. With the furnace running and windows mostly closed, we keep rooms ventilated and use low-odour products so the house stays comfortable while we paint.
Many older East Hill houses have plaster walls, settled corners and trim coated in oil-based enamel decades ago. Latex will not bond to old oil enamel without the right primer, so we test the trim, scuff-sand it and prime before any finish coat goes on. Plaster cracks are filled and sanded flat first.
Forced-air heating through a cold winter dries out wood trim and drywall, which opens hairline cracks along baseboards, inside corners and ceiling joints. We caulk and fill these during prep, rather than painting over them, so the same lines do not show through the new paint again by spring.
We paint interiors across the city: character homes on East Hill, family houses in Coldstream and Bella Vista, lake-view homes in Okanagan Landing and Turtle Mountain, and resort-style homes at Predator Ridge, where vaulted great rooms and tall stairwells are common. Apartments and older suites in Downtown Vernon are on our list too. Each area brings different ceiling heights and wall conditions, and we price to what we see on site.
Interior pricing here follows the same ranges we use in Kelowna: about $300–$800 for a single room and $2,500–$6,000+ for a full interior, usually three to five days. Travel is included in most Vernon quotes. What moves the price is ceiling height (common in Predator Ridge and Turtle Mountain), the amount of plaster or trim prep in older East Hill homes, and how many colours you choose.
