Exterior painting in Penticton has to stand up to some of the hottest, sunniest summers in the Okanagan. South and west walls fade and chalk faster here, wood trim dries out and cracks, and stucco picks up fine hairline cracks. A lasting repaint starts with washing off the chalk and dust, scraping and sanding loose paint, sealing stucco cracks and priming bare wood before any new colour goes on the walls.
Our crew comes down from Kelowna, about an hour, and a full exterior is exactly the kind of project that suits that trip. Most homes take two to five days. We book exteriors from late spring into early fall, start on the cooler side of the house and follow the shade around it, so paint is not flash-drying on hot siding.

Not usually, but timing matters. Exterior paint has a maximum surface temperature as well as a minimum, and sun-facing walls here can pass it in the afternoon. We paint those walls in morning or evening shade, or book them for late spring or September.
We can work around guests, but late spring or early fall is easier for everyone. If summer is the only window, we agree on work hours, keep entrances and parking clear, and finish the walls next to decks and patios first so outdoor space comes back quickly.
Small jobs like one front door or a few trim boards are hard to justify for the drive from Kelowna. We are a good fit for full exterior repaints or large sections, such as all trim and fascia. Very small touch-ups are best combined with a larger project so the trip is worthwhile.
